Persuasive Writing - Why we should have pets

We have been having a go at writing a piece of persuasive writing. Here is my piece of writing about why it's a good idea to have pets 

Title A Short Statement about the topic. eg. ‘Rugby League Is A Great Sport’	Pets Are Good
Overview/ Statement of position A brief statement of your view about the topic.  What you believe or want to argue.
Series of Arguments Reasons Your points supporting your view about the topic.  Your k arguments to support your statement and information to support these arguments. Remember -argument -supporting detail, reasons, examples	Firstly, pets are good animals because they can help disabled people with walking across the road. Blind people have a lot more independence if they have a  dog to help them. Dogs  are now being trained to be able to sniff out cancer genes in people.
	Secondly, dogs help people kill animals and to find dead wild animals, so the hunters find it easier to find what they have killed. At the airport the sniffer dogs sniff out drugs and guns. Thirdly, There are pets that provide food like cows, chickens, pigs and other animals. The food and drinks are milk, bacon, eggs, meat, beef and pork chops.
	Fourthly farm dogs help round up farm animals like cows and sheep. They are good at getting livestock from steep hills.
	Finally, pets are good with comforting people if they’re alone (tahanga). When people are alone they can get depressed and need medication which costs a lot of money.
Concluding statement Summing it up.  A summary of your arguments and your view on the topic.	In conclusion  pets are super duper good to have around and in your life. Pets can help you, find you when you’re lost and last but not least they love you. EVERYBODY NEEDS LOVE The End
